I have a 1981 300SD that I have had for many years now finally died, well at least the transmission has. It only has first and reverse gears but the engine is still good. The engine has something like 350k miles, smokes a bit when first starts but clears up after a few minutes running. Tires are near new el-cheapos. Interior is bad, the leather seats have had much better days, the wood is all pretty good. The body isn't rusted too bad, one wrinkle in the rear passenger panel. Color is white. Rather than sell it to a junk yard I would much rather have someone who would like to fix it or at least transplant it's parts into one of it's brethren. I live in Pink Oklahoma which in 20 miles outside of Norman Oklahoma. If anybody would be interested in it for oh..say $200 or so, I would love to send it to a new home. Thanks Richard Davis radworks-at-sbcglobal.net 405-598-9158 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Sep 2004 20:58:48 -0700 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: fsj: Re: RE: It's all John's fault A: The 727 link comes at a most opportune time. I will be tearing apart the Jeep 727 I just got to swap the output shaft into a Mopar 727 for my son's '83 Cherokee (he's running a Dodge 360. Unfortunately for him, he didn't see a parked green car while riding his bike today and he broke the tibia in his leg and cracked his hip, so he won't be doing much the next 6 weeks) I'm thinking about getting the Mopar shaft redone to work with a Quadratrac or the Chev NP208 I have to put the Jeep 727 into my J4000 in place of the extremely tired TH400. (or I may just rebuild it as 2WD till spring, when I can redo my TH400) thanx, will pass these links to the other lists... :) john On Thu, 16 Sep 2004, Black, Waylon wrote: The aquarium valve is used to bleed off pressure so that more boost is possible. It is in really good condition for its age, but that's what happens when a woman uses an off-road vehicle for highway commuting. This would make a great winter or rec. vehicle, esp. in CO! Vitals: '93 Grand Cherokee Laredo(dark green) 167k miles, 4.0 I-6(190hp) auto full time AWD power window, locks, seats AC Stereo/cassette(although I would recommend replacing with aftermarket) alarm/keyless entry Engine, body, and interior are in great shape. on the down side, it needs: new serpentine belt gas cap lock, left U joint windshield has crack spot of rust on right rear wheel well. We are only asking $2200 due to the vehicle's downsides. Contact us at: 303-814-3524 or jbnwc-at-yahoo.com I have photos!
