It's brilliant. I've also heard stories of FOMOCO selling parts to GM because they had a more competitive bid... :) john >--> >-->-----Original Message----- >-->From: owner-xj-at-digest.net [mailto:owner-xj-at-digest.net]On Behalf Of john >-->Sent: Monday, October 18, 2004 7:27 PM >-->To: xj-at-digest.net >-->Subject: Re: xj: Re: '89 XJ issue >--> >--> >-->the XJ's are a little bit less "conglomeration" than the SJ's. >--> >-->However Jeep does buy parts from Ford, GM and other suppliers. >-->Not a bad thing really... leverage the other guy's engineering efforts. ;) >--> >-->Take a look... Pete, Sure, be happy to help... any chance of emailing digital pictures? The edelbrock setup is sweet... rust is something I'm not familiar with... thankfully... (I used to be 30 years ago when I lived in Illinois... but NO more!!! :) No idea of worth until we see the pictures... Whereabouts are you in PA? These things tend to sell regionally as they are rather expensive to move around. ;) That and those of us on this coast tend to avoid stuff from back east because of rust concerns. :) fwiw, I taught a Solaris class in Mt.Pocono at the Tobyhanna Army Depot a couple years ago... when I was there I was looking for the "mountains"... I could see ski resorts on the sides of the hills... but didn't see mountains... of course I gather that your "mountains" aren't active volcanoes or have snow year round... ;) ttyl, john On Tue, 19 Oct 2004, Peter Steinke wrote: >-->Hi John, >--> My name is Pete Steinke and I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your site.
