POR-15 paint the back side of it and then rehang them for the final time. i have no idea if jeep still carries the 3-piece sides. i would doubt it. let us know how you go with your project and i'll do the same! Which has been a lot of fun, really -- I've been keeping it in 2wd a lot, but not always. So coming home last night, I took the four-lane highway for a mile or so between major roads, and as I exited on the ramp, I saw an old ('60s?) small white station-wagon-panel-truck-lookin' thing in the snowbank along the side, and as I slowed down more, I saw there was still someone inside. Stopped and, after a bit of pulling and some light yanking, slowly pulled him free. He had made it on the fairly messy highway from Boone (about 10-15mi west of here) ok, just to get sucked in on the exit ramp. (He was headed to work for a night shift at the hospital; this was around 10:30pm.) Anyway, I got to use my brand new tow strap and even the 2" receiver insert with a hook for the tow strap loop on my end. The bad news is, the tow strap now has a frayed part in the middle. Looks like it was pulling on a sharp metal edge or something, where he looped it around the frame/bumper connection. Should still work ok, but of course that doesn't help its strength. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It IS as bad as you think, and they ARE out to get you. - -------------- Dan Black ------------------------- dan-at-black.org -------------- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Jan 2005 10:09:40 -0800 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: fsj: Re: snow fun Woke up to freezing rain in S Seattle (daughter-in-law's uncle sez it's snowing at their place, a mere 100 feet higher up and 10 miles southeast of here) Guess I'll see how well my brake bleeding fixed my brakes since it's downhill to work this AM! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Jan 2005 15:20:55 EST From: Brazzadog-at-aol.com Subject: fsj: Re: fsj-digest V1 #2334 Zach Heisey has recently begun have bed repair panels made and is selling them through his business website.
