I don't think copper would be a problem with gasoline... expensive that way though... steel tubing would be less... you could also get the factory prebent lines from a dealership if they still have some in stock. Or from someone like BJ's off-road, or other Jeep suppliers. Remember you've got three lines... main fuel draw, fuel return to the tank, and then a vent to the charcoal cannister. You might even try a wrecking yard... but if you've got the copper tubing and no one else thinks it'll react with the gas, go for it. :) happy bending. At least the copper won't rust, however, it will oxidize and turn colors... you know, I'd take a chunk of it and drop it in gasoline to see if it does anything to it... I'm not a chemist or anything, so I'm curious about this... chances are it'll be fine. :) john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Jan 2005 11:44:19 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: Re: fsj: Hole in fuel line did you check your filters? smell gas? see gas leaking? could be a clogged pickup screen in the tank, bad fuel pump.. clogged line... john On Sun, 16 Jan 2005 Moontanman-at-aol.com wrote: >-->I seem to have a hole somewhere in my fuel line, I can put a short fuel line >-->in a can of gas and the engine will run fine but when I hook up the regular >-->gas lines it won't run at all like it's not getting gas.
