Heck that was a BBD rebuild kit! I drove it that way for 6 months (ran far better than before with the choke wired just enough to keep it idling) and sold the carb to someone with an '88 Eagle wagon (It's now cruising around Mexico with no problems) what can I say? :) this is classic Jim Blair. :) the same guy that used a BB and a twist tie to MacGyver his J10 carb to get home from my place... http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/rigs/JimBlair/loadedJ4000.jpg john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2005 02:59:50 -0400 (EDT) From: john Subject: fsj: looking for... I'm looking for a 700R4 (4x4) that will work behind a 6.2L Diesel, 1983. If I can find one with the driver's side and xfr case that would be even better... Otherwise I'm either going to rework my NP208 with the input gear from my '83 J10, reclock it or find an newer Chevy xfr case. If I can't find the xfr case setup, I would need a J10 Dana 44 front axle with 4.10 gears and pass side drop, 74-79 years... I'm going to look into rebuilding what I have... any one in the seattle/Everett/Bellevue area know of any good shops that are reasonable? How about shops to take a wide berth around? :) thanx, john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #2413 **************************
