(recovery program appears to be working. ;) anyway, spotted a nice air inflator with gauge setup (rubber enclosed even!), comes with 15" hose length, 1/4" 18NPT brass fitting that amazingly fit my elecheapo air hose setup, and it doesn't leak either!!! it's item 41891. I filled up the front benz tires, knew they were low, and this was an easy fill... sweet... filled up the left rear tire on the cj-2a while I had the hose dragged across the front yard, it didn't even register. Guess it's nice having such a light vehicle that it won't cause the 31" tires to go down on the rim or break the bead. ;) thought about doing all the rest of the vehicles in the driveway but it was dark outside... ;) This is an unusually decent quality item for the price! I'm amazed. Every now and then there really is a bargain! john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- to fry some phish: http://castlecops.com/pirt - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Apr 2006 09:19:14 +0000 From: "michel balea" Subject: RE: fsj: Re: Microsoft buys OpenOffice.ORG! >>>>>The Federal government waived all safety and emissions regulations as >>>>>an added incentive to bolster the sagging Ohio economy.<<<< this is a big fish..... On one of the Jeep list, one guy was tired of wrenching... so he was giving his wrangler away.... today only (april 1st) The best was, when they scrambled TV broadcast.... and had a live crew at the foot of the Eiffel tower showing diving crew trying to recover parts of the TV antenna..... The Eiffel tower being the highest point in the paris area, is used to transmit signals..... Damiler Chrysler has decided to form two wholly owned subsidiaries based in Toledo, Ohio. "Jeep" and "DieselBenz". The decision was made to produce the 123, 124, and 126 models with updated Diesel engines in Toledo where the two independent subsidiaries will share powerplants and transmissions. The new Jeep division will only make models based on the XJ, SJ and WJ model lines, as well as some of the Classic Willys Models. They will permit purchasers to select their engine, transmissions, transfer cases and color schemes. Options will include Atlas and New Venture models as well as previously distributed versions and drivelines. Jeep heating and air conditioning systems will also be shared with the DieselBenz models as part of the agreement to share drivelines between the two plants. Spokeswoman for the newly formed satellites made the statement that they want to give what the true fans of these classic models have been requesting for years, and decided to use the marketing approach found in some fast food chain outlets. The Federal government waived all safety and emissions regulations as an added incentive to bolster the sagging Ohio economy. Other automakers are rumored to be considering similiar proposals and ideas. (remember, this is a French holiday, enjoy the news... and remember, it's April 2 somewhere in the world... ;) john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- to fry some phish: http://castlecops.com/pirt - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Apr 2006 17:17:32 -0400 From: "Neal Hoover" Subject: Re: fsj: Re: Re: bolt-in SOA axles understood. that's the main reason that i'm not going to do an SOA on my existing axle. i don't have a problem with weding on the spring perches, but i don't feel like cutting off the outer C's, rotating them, and welding them back on. that's mainly why i'm looking for a bolt-in chevy, dodge, or ford that's already SOA. for the most part, castor and driveline angles should be pretty close with minor tweaking. keeping in mind that i'm also going to be doing a front shackle reversal along with it. btw, do you know if the mid-70s chevy front axles were shackle int he front or rear? and fell free to belabor me as much as you want on the homework you've done, JeepNut!!! :) Neal A.
