(only ONE) - '48 CJ-2A - '68 Jeepster Commando - '83 J10 Stepside My daily driver, tow rig and family shuttle will be '91 Grand Wagoneer (getting a 6.2L Diesel), my wife is currently using the '99 Grand Cherokee, but has been taking my '91 300D more often... I'm thinking that my wife may end up taking the 300D! She's driving it more often and appreciates it's handling and economy... she expressed concern about how much we'd lose selling the '99 WJ, but since we got it for a decent price I think selling it won't hurt too much... I really like this WJ, it's superb. No problem in keeping it... it would mean four total vehicles instead of three which is better for parking and insurance... My wife won't let me sell the Mercedes because of it's economy... So it's looking more and more like the WJ goes and the 124 stays... but we'll see... so if we sell the '99 WJ, that would leave us with the '91 Grand Wagoneer (6.2L Diesel) as my daily driver '91 300D as my wife's car and then ONE other "project" rig... at this point in time it's too hard to decide. - the '48 CJ-2A is very cool, but quite impractical (hey, it's a toy!) - most likely to leave - the '68 Jeepster is also very cool and has my wife talking about what color to paint it... and asking if the top comes off... two very good signs... very good... now if I can find an adapter for the TH400 and a half cab or bikini top... yee haw... :) - the '83 J10 stepside is beyond cool, but has been in many pieces for many years... the '91 GW is going to take the role it had planned and be much more practical... I was going to put the 6.2L Diesel in superdawg, but the '91 GW was a surprise acquisition... and so much nicer overall in features, options and practicality... so superdawg will get his 4.2/T-5 refurbed, or one of my 4.0L's will get rebuilt and mated to an AW4 and an NP219... a very nice setup, and could possibly win my wife's heart and make the benz disappear... although this is dreaming talk... she's hated this truck since I got it in '99. :) If I had to make a choice with the current selection I think the Jeepster is going to win... But don't put your popcorn away just yet... I haven't even driven this C101 yet... let's wait... thinking about THAT aspect, I think that SuperDawg just gained 15 points in this contest. I know he rides great... the last Jeepster I had ('73/C104) rode terrible, handled terrible and was not something I'd drive more than 10 miles at a time unless there were no other options... Oh yeah, on the Jeepster color... definetly NOT red. Wife said no to yellow. White is one option, a light baby blue is another... a light blue with a white top would look great on this thing and make my wife happy... two for the price of one... sounds like a winner. :) john '91 300D - 2.5L Turbo Diesel - economy car (30mpg in town) '91 Grand Wagoneer (getting a 6.2L Diesel) (coming home soon... I hope...) '68 Jeepster Commando (V6 225) (looking for adapter ring to mate TH400) '75 J10 hydraulic dump trailer '99 WJ Grand Cherokee (4.7L V8) - primary tow vehicle right now - will it stay? '83 J10 Stepside (in a black hole in a bazillion pieces, might escape this year... maybe...) '48 CJ-2A '92 XJ (almost gone...) '67 J100 Panel (to remain in the black hole, Rambo is happy there...) '78 J10 Golden Eagle (tabs due! also to remain in the black hole, Hooch is happy there...) ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Jul 2006 22:42:51 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: need Borg Warner QT cones I need a source for the BW-1339 cones for the Quadratrac... anybody have any or know where I can get them? thanx, john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 2006 23:47:39 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: GremliJeepster and other colors On Thu, 6 Jul 2006, Terry Halmshaw wrote: > -->LMAO!. > --> > -->Something to ponder for the years when you get bored :[p > --> this is funny... you know, when the Gremlin came out I wanted one...
