After all the planning and spending my whole vacation moving and loading the van to go to the meet, it suddenly started running rough and I'm too worried to try to make the 70 mile trip to the meet. I'll have to wait till the next Monroe event I guess. (lifters suddenly started clattering yet it read I have oil pressure. I wasn't worried till it started backfiring) _________________________________________________________________ Be seen and heard with Windows Live Messenger and Microsoft LifeCams http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwme0020000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/digitalcommunication/default.mspx?locale=en-us&source=hmtagline ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Sep 2006 16:14:40 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: Cj-dilema (OT) Need some collective wisdom and idea of value... found a '75 CJ-5 for $1,500. has a 304 with a 3 speed manual, body is rough, but useable... needs some TLC, clutch is misaligned so it's not driveable, transmission could be bad, hard to say... If the trans is bad I have both FSJ and XJ drivelines I could use on it... time is limited... what is something like this worth??? I figure to make it a decent running trail rig it'll cost between $500 and $1,000... not sure it's worth the trouble... no plans on keeping it.... thoughts? john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Sep 2006 21:42:14 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: seeking "Final Edition" If anyone sees one of those "final edition" plaques for sale, or has one for sale, let me know... or if we can make a replica of one... thanx, john '91 GW '99 GC '83 j10 stepside '48 cj-2a ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Sep 2006 04:33:43 -0700 (PDT) From: elliott sydnam Subject: Re: fsj: seeking "Final Edition" John, I know where you can get them and I'll put you in touch with the guy.
