Snohomish Valley is flooded... no traffic on SR9 now. This happened in '93 and again in '96... I haven't got in touch with my buddy who lives along the river, but I'm sure he's ok, they had everyone out of there this afternoon... I was talking to one of the Highway Dept guys... My other buddy managed to get his plane out of Harvey Field before the water came in... I'll try to get pictures of the valley in the morning... road is closed just down from my drive. We're a mile up the hill (and at 350 ft above sea level)... the water isn't as far across the valley as it was in '96. It was right by Lowell Road last time... looks like it's pretty much over by Marsh Road. john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Nov 2006 11:04:39 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: Snohomish Valley - 8 Nov 2006 http://JohnMeister.com/fotos/2006/Nov-8-Flood-Snohomish-Valley/ http://JohnMeister.com/fotos/2006/Nov-8-Flood-Snohomish-Valley/ALL.html john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Nov 2006 16:40:05 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: Re: [WJ-Grand] traffic problem solved... bring a bucket... :) I'm waiting for them to open the highway, because then I'll be able to sneak over to Springetthi Road just east of it and play in the water with the Jeep like I did in '96... I don't think the WJ makes as cool of a wake as an SJ though... the water comes up in front, whereas with the Full Size Jeep the water goes way out the sides and is it ever cool... :) john On Wed, 8 Nov 2006, David Jones wrote: >-->It's all Bush's fault. The best thing for you to do is loot everything in town then rip FEMA off for a ton of money to buy all the things you had previously that you never earned. See if you can get oneof those travel trailers to tow behind the GC. >--> >-->or >--> >-->It is an act of God with opportunities for you to make a difference. You could take in a neighbor.
