Down I-5 in 6.5 minutes: http://chuck.goolsbee.org/mov/SEA-SFtimelapse.mov I LOVE IT!!! I'm going to drop this file on my lab system with the 42" Plasma screen and put it into a constant loop... :) I've been down this stretch of I-5 so many times in the last 25 years... (your note says Portland, file name is SEA... which is it? ) How did you do this? I'm working on the Capstone Project for my Masters and need additional data points. I'm looking for folks that have dual booted laptops running WinXP and any variation of Linux. I need battery life data from both OS's... times, hardware, configs, etc. Any additional information about the configuration will be helpful. I'm not planning on including a lot of detail in my report, but having it available for defense of it will be good. It's a lot to ask considering it takes at least two hours of time in Microsoft Windows... :) http://wagoneers.com/CS/LINUX/TCO/Battery-Life.txt email me at: LinuxMeister-at-comcast.net thanx, john (I noticed this increase in operating time while flying to Tokyo last year... used two batteries... in windows I got 3 hrs each... in linux coming back I got close to 5 hrs from each battery! so I started testing other systems and found that Linux (SuSE in particular) lasts at least 30% longer than windows!!! But I want to verify this on multiple platforms and need others to verify my observations!) ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://freegift.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Jan 2007 13:53:43 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: omega weather and babysitter shortage conspired against Omega making it home... here's a picture of Omega with a 3" body lift: http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/rigs/1991-GW-White/omega+3_a.jpg john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://freegift.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 09 Jan 2007 23:14:43 -0800 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: RE: fsj: omega Omega is looking good. Snow is flying here and my Dodge 4x4 is back together! (next is to get one of my Jeeps into operating 4x4 condition!) Took it for a test run and it appears to be doing what it's supposed to now. It's a good thing I packrat so much stuff because I didn't need to buy much to fix it (I swapped the rear yoke from the NP208D I'm going to put in the J4000. I'm swiping the Chev NP208C front yoke to replace it so I don't have to buy any custom driveshafts or conversion Ujoints. _________________________________________________________________ Get FREE Web site and company branded e-mail from Microsoft Office Live http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/mcrssaub0050001411mrt/direct/01/ ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #2767 **************************
