Ich spreche Deutsche, have a passport, access to a seaport and plastic... ;) this would indeed be the Ultimate late model Jeep! Last of the passenger variants with solid front axle... If any listers in Europe find one, let me know about it... a guy has to have a dream... I've waited since 1989 to have a full size jeep with a Diesel... very close to having it, but it's a 1991... of course I did have that '85 XJ with the 2.1L TD, it was nice but needed an Automatic. :( Any remaining '85 XJs with that Renault engine would require very expensive maintenance... the french engine was expensive on so very many levels... in the meantime, I'm hoping that the 6.2L Diesel in my '91 Grand Wagoneer will be everything I hoped for... http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/28sep2007-inwork/ALL.html If not, I may try a Mercedes 3.0L or 2.5L TD into a Jeep XJ... we'll see... it's all fun... :) If I'd gone to college straight out of High School instead of spending 8 years in the Army then maybe I could actually afford to buy a new ML 320CDI or a nice Diesel 4x4 truck... spending $50k or more for a rig just goes against my Boehmian ancestory. ;) john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On Fri, 5 Oct 2007, Mike Frank wrote: # http://tinyurl.com/yr3y7q # ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #2932 **************************
