I might have the email saved somewhere... maybe... not sure when I will have time to look for it.... try googling my webserver for the digests. anyone on the FSJ list remember this truck? I vaguely remember the discussion about this thing... barely, I recall that my son might be interested, but the price was quite steep for him... http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/rigs/67-j3000-MI/ john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- there's a solution for every problem; problem is can we afford the solution? - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On Tue, 29 Jan 2008, Dennis Rhoades wrote: # # http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/rigs/67-j3000-MI/ # I bought this truck, really nice and I think the 15,550 miles are # original. The PS brackets appeared to be the same for the 327 as my 304 in my '73 J4000 (I have one sitting on my trailer in my driveway awaiting a clearing of the weather so I can get to my cabin and load it into my storage truck until Brian has time to swap it into his Travelall.) Don't think I have the AC brackets though (unless they are in the tub full of stuff. I'll have to look when I'm a little less frustrated with INS) Written laws are like spiders' webs, and will like them only Entangle and hold the poor and weak, while the rich and powerful will easily break through them ANACHARSIS Scythian philosopher (fl. 600 BC) > # # > On Fri, 25 Jan 2008, elliott sydnam wrote: > # # > > # # > # John, > # # > # I have a buddy (Dennis) here in TX with sweet '67 Gladiator/327. > # His problem is in trying to > # # > retro > # # > # fit parts to add AC and PS to his 327 and the pulleys don't seem > # to line the belts up > # # > correctly. > # # > # My parts list is a '67 and only shows the belt/pulley > # arrangement for the air pump (that he > # # > # doesn't have) so it's not much use to him to figure out the > # install. I changed the plugs (Unknown miles but over 20K)... They Looked good... Changed the wires -there was some high resistance- but a few tankful later... barely above 14, and a lack of power.... Coil in cap is getting the full battery voltage. Manifold vacuum was up to specs 20-21. Pull the coil cover and surprise (last few pictures) http://picasaweb.google.com/jeepmr/FSJ Amazing that it was still working.... I had a few hard start in the morning.... and could smell some unburnt gas.... The last oil change 2 weeks ago smelled too much of gas....Now 20 miles later... i can even see the exhaust sooth lighter.... I felt like drilling a small hole in that lower corner of the coil holder Cheers Michel 74wag _________________________________________________________________ Shed those extra pounds with MSN and The Biggest Loser! http://biggestloser.msn.com/ ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #2997 **************************
