Got a points dist for AMC? My friend had his wiring go up in smoke ('86 Grand Wagoneer) and has to move his rig ASAP. Quickest way is to swap in points and hotwire it before the State Patrol tows it away on him. (he needs it to go back and forth to work till he can afford to fix it) _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live SkyDrive lets you share files with faraway friends. http://www.windowslive.com/skydrive/overview.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_Refresh_s kydrive_052008 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 May 2008 22:43:50 -0700 From: Jim Blair Subject: RE: fsj: Re: NP242 The NP208 is shorter than the others because it has no viscous coupler, so the rear 1/2 is -at-5" shorter. E-Fuel Corp unveiled on Thursday the "MicroFueler" touting it as the world's first machine that allows homeowners to make their own ethanol .... The portable unit that sells for $10,000 resembles a gasoline station pump and nozzle -- .... Instead of tapping gasoline from an underground tank, the pump's back end plugs into home power and water supplies to make ethanol for as little as $1 a gallon (3.8 liters) .... That means it avoids the Achilles heel of today's U.S. ethanol system -- reliance on corn -- which has been blamed for helping to spike global food prices. .... "There's no mother in America crying that their kids aren't getting enough sugar,"... .... Regular table sugar alone is too expensive, so E-Fuels says it will link customers to cheaper surplus supplies, including inedible sugar from Mexico that sells at a fraction of the price... ...For a two-car family that drives about 34,500 miles a year, the MicroFueler will pay for itself in less than two years, assuming average gasoline prices of $3.60 per gallon, the company said. The unit makes up to 35 gallons (132 liters) of 100 percent ethanol per week. ... ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com ** http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 May 2008 22:56:52 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: pinion bearing, winch and Detroit electrac sold my warn winch today... the guy that bought it used to work for randy's ring and pinion... he's getting a chance at getting his money back for the winch on thursday... he's going to install my Detroit Electrac and replace the rear D44 pinion bearing... if I can track down rotors and brake parts he'll do all that as well... front bearings as well, and switch over to amsoil... figured out that one of my noises is the pinion bearing... happens when I decelerate... my new stereo should be here soon too... have the sound proofing... thinking about what kind of leather seats to install, found a really, really nice set of tan BMW leather seats... wife didn't like them, but I may get them anyway... cleanest ones I've seen... will see if I can get additional padding installed to make 'em softer, or just use it on the driver's side. john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com ** http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #3074 **************************
