Anyway the edelbrock AVS has quick tune secondaries... i played with it alittle and now i think it is getting more fuel sooner for sure, no bog ... however it seams like too much fuel at idle now. i can smell it.. So i am thinking i am going up one jet size on the primary and then tune the 2ndaries back to normal if i can find that adjustment again... i am about to drive my little pig to Florida which i think is 500 miles, i am hoping to get above 8 mpg after richening it up... it seams to get between 8-11mpg. in town as is. For some reason i just do not want to take my Rubicon, i am trying to keep miles down. and i find driving 500 miles with out a/c appealing.. lol I am not the brightest light in the house. I will feel alot more comfortable when its richened... I have never had a lean running car, they always loved to run rich fouling my plugs every two weeks. I really do not want to mess this 401 up.. Its my first non oil burning and fair oil pressure. So burning a hole in a piston would ruin my day. Is there a technique or poor mans way to measure exhaust temp? what tempature should i look for? The intake isn't an SP2P by any chance?
