Thinking of adding an inline pump on my 6.2L Diesel. The electric pump is a passthrough type if it's off or fails. The lift pump is new, and since this is a Diesel setup there isn't the danger of rupturing the diapraghm and having the crankcase fill with that nasty gasoline stuff. 2) anyone know if there is any problem with heating Diesel fuel to 160 degrees before going into the injection pump? I know that WVO should be heated to 160 degrees to match the viscosity of "normal" Diesel, but I'm not sure if problems would result if I heat normal Diesel or bioDiesel. thanx, john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com john's 6.2L GW: http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ SAVE FUEL use AMSOIL Synthetics: http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 02 Jul 2008 16:15:16 -0600 From: Troy Phagan Subject: fsj: veggie oil tip FYI: I am no expert, but pre-heating the veggie oil may not be enough during winter times in northern climates. I had a veggie-oil-burning customer who told me that one of the problems he had to overcome was heating the veggie oil lines themselves. During the winter, the material in the lines gels up in the cold, and causes resultant mischief. - -- - -Troy Troy Phagan C.R.P. 4x4, Truck Accessories & Diesel Performance 2102 9th ST Greeley, CO 80631 970-351-8603 fax: 970-353-3066 tsp-at-crptruck.com www.crptruck.com www.smilingcharleys.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Jul 2008 15:23:19 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: Re: fsj: veggie oil tip I'll probably blend during the winter months... but our normal winter temp is in the 40's here in Seattle... I'll mainly be using BioDiesel, but supplementing my Grand Wagoneer's drinking habit with WVO. We don't even get #1 Diesel here... If I head over the mountains in the winter I have to remember this and add a gallon of regular gas to the tank... Typically if I'm driving one of my Diesels back east it'll be around Missoula, MT that I need fuel... as long as it's running we're usually ok... :) john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://wagoneers.com john's 6.2L GW: http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ SAVE FUEL use AMSOIL Synthetics: http://wagoneers.com/AMSOIL - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Wed, 2 Jul 2008, Troy Phagan wrote: # FYI: I am no expert, but pre-heating the veggie oil may not be enough during # winter times in northern climates.
