The reinstall is not bad, the rubber-like gasket from NAPA held the bolts snug enough, so it is very easy to install-reinstall. Too much dust around the carport, so I reinstalled, but not refilled.... I like your suggestion of dropping the STP engine oil treatment into the trany pan.... It is so thick, it does make sense. In fact next time, I will probably disco the tranny line at the cooler, put an extension into a 5 quart bucket.... put in idle.... and 5-15 seconds later... you have removed 3-4 quarts of trany fluid. Omega is having some issues with his sunroof... I think one of the wires came loose by the fusebox and the new owners are having trouble... the air deflector may have popped up and jammed the sunroof and popped a fuse or breaker... they're trying to get it closed so they can get it inspected and licensed and actually drive him... I don't know how mechanically inclined these folks are... they shouldn't be having trouble with the sunroof... never gave me any trouble in two years... anyway, email me off list if you might be able to assist... thanx, john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold SAVE fuel: use synthetics: http://www.AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 SAVE power: use LINUX: http://johnmeister.com/tmcp.pdf http://wagoneers.com http://gunbanobama.com/ http://freegift.com - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2008 10:26:23 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: fsj: RE: [db] east coasters? understand... well, that's one of the reasons I started these lists... to keep people from getting ripped off and to help folks willing to bust knuckles... john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold SAVE fuel: use synthetics: http://www.AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 SAVE power: use LINUX: http://johnmeister.com/tmcp.pdf http://wagoneers.com http://gunbanobama.com/ http://freegift.com - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Wed, 8 Oct 2008, Potter, Tom E wrote: # # # ... any competent independent mechanic shouldn't have # a bit of trouble with it. # # And WHERE would one find these.
