It will require the welding of a sleeve.... on the front frame piece. Otherwise a motorcycle trailer has popped up on CL, w 15" wheel.... the only "issue" is that the current owner never registered it on its name, no registration.... the maximum fine for expired registration is 2 or 300% of the assessed fee (after 1 year).... and for trailers it is $10 every 5 years. Otherwise a lien sale will do the work. Anything to look at before making an offer, spin the tires, check for rust w a "tool" .... seems like the thing has not moved in years. It is probably showing on google earth.... but it is under some trees..... Ideally taking it for a spin... to see how its tracking abilities. Will bring a pump, plug kit, electricals and connectors, bulbs, ..... cheers Michel _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live^Y: E-mail. Chat. Share. I've got the 3.3L Diesel from the CJ-10 that will literally drop right in... I think I'll have to move the engine mount towers forward a couple of inches, minor issue... trans mount and driveshafts should hook right up... the guy is asking a grand, but I might be able to get it for less... The consensus among those that seem to know... it'll be exremely slow with the 3.3. I really don't want to do a full up 6.2 conversion again... no 3.9's around, not sure I'd go that way either... the 360 V8 is a thirsty pig of a boat anchor... 8 to 12 mpg if I'm lucky... the swap would be easy, but somewhat pointless... it wouldn't move about very well... I also looked at a few XJs... but there isn't as much room to work and they're all pretty rough... if I could find a nice late model or limited (want leather seats) for less than $1500 I might try the swap in one... anyway, my son is talking about selling his Javelin, will put it up on CL this afternoon... if he does, then I'll skip the GW and we'll put a driveshaft and hubs on the panel... he'll be down to two vehicles and life will be better. :) I'll just wait for my J10. The WJ is doing fine, but could use a heater core and some axle seals. My 300D is doing fine but could use some TLC as well, need to lube the speedo cable and find that little annoying oil leak and change the oil. Out cleaning up around the shop right now... :) ...anyone need wood for their fireplace? filling up the trailer with left over carport material... john -o|||||o- 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ) 15 mpg 4.7L V8/45RFE/NV247 1991 Mercedes 300D (124) 29 mpg 2.5L Turbo Diesel/AT (Shadowfax) in work: 1983 Jeep J10 Stepside (SJ) 14 mpg 4.2/T-5/NP208 (Superdawg) 1975 Jeep J10 long bed (SJ) hydraulic dump trailer 1986 CJ-10A 3.3L Diesel/AT - for sale - $4500 1967 Jeep J100 (SJ)Panel 232/T-85/D20 - for sale ??? - $2900 1974 Javelin Ford 460/c6 - for sale - $800 also have an extra C6 & Ford NP205 attached to C6. -o|||||o- http://wagoneers.com/johns-vehicles.html ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://freegift.com http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 8 Feb 2009 18:40:45 -0700 From: "Tesar Landon-R16884" Subject: fsj: RE: trailer purchase check list You might pop the bearing caps, just to take a look...recent grease, - - L - -----Original Message----- From: owner-fsj-at-digest.net [mailto:owner-fsj-at-digest.net] On Behalf Of Michel Balea Sent: Saturday, February 07, 2009 5:31 PM To: fsj digest Subject: fsj: trailer purchase check list Working on getting a front hitch on the wagoneer.... so checking those CL replies.
