If it's the same length and height then a 4.0L powered XJ or WJ might be a great conversion possibility... then all I'd need is an adatper to mate to a 42RE(yuck) or an AW4. The scan definitely is yellowish. Could be age of the materials, but from the shadows at the edge, I'm guessing it's mostly the scan. I did a quick Photoshop adjustment -- very quick and easy with the white balance tool in Levels... http://dsblack.public.iastate.edu/temp-74/ (Compare to http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/tech/COLORS/ .) Not sure it really made much difference on Mellow Yellow, but a little. Definitely makes a difference on Champagne White, and a bit of difference on Wiard's Fawn Beige.
