Whoo Hoo... ready to take on Alex's 240D now!... that shift kit and amsoil ATF made a bunch o' difference. will try to find a level place to run the test... that's hard in Western Washington... especially when you travel for a almost a minute. ;) nice crisp shifts, more or less... later shifts help a lot as well. :) have some interesting pictures of the old cars in the shop... A shift kit in any 727 is HIGHLY recommended, along with a large oil cooler and never idle in park... and use amsoil synthetic ATF, or any synthetic... and it might last... the tech that worked on my tug agreed with me that the 727s used in Full Size Jeeps are not good... a shift kit/cooler/synthetic will give them a fighting chance. john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Wed, 13 May 2009, Michel Balea wrote: # # Impressive, and thank you for giving us insight on the type of sockets to remove that corky transmission pan..... These are an almost modern diesel built in South America by a company owned by International Trucks of the good old USA. There is no computer system it is all mechanical. The secret to this engine is the Garrett VNT turbo. Out of the box it is 135 HP and puts out 277 foot pounds of torque at 1400 RPM. Yes it spins up to 3800 RPM. This engine with the Advance Adapter adapter to a V90 GM transmission or a NV 4500 transmission will replace a Chev 350 gas engine.. Both manual and automatic are supported. This is the best way to build a 30 MPG 4X4. They have been put into a host of Land Rovers, Toyota's and even a Volvo 6X6. Priced at 6500.00 till the end of June. That is 1000.00 off the regular price. Please note this engine has to be put into a non EPA compliant vehicle in the USA. References We have 6 years of them.Have delivered the engines to 4 continents. Yes we are now down to 4 Unimogs from the Swiss military. Thanking one and all.
