Another suggestion is to go at night. So today I started to get my ducks in a row to repair my Wagoneer's frame. I drove it around the neighborhood a little bit and then parked it and braced it to insure that it's level and within reach of the MIG welder. I'll buy some steel tomorrow, and depending when I finish work I'll pull the rear axle, rear springs, gas and brake lines. I'll make the patch out of 1/8 rectangular tube of an as of yet undetermined size. ...gas tank has been out since 2006. If the weather holds out I will also replace the quarter panel and start repairing the rocker panels. This one that I have driven since 1991 and has been in the family since 1983 is going back on the road in 2010. I'll take some pics. I figure a max of two hours to get it going, and if I don't, no worries, will come back with a tow dolly and the wj. nice having backup plans... and friends that are willing to help and help with the parts... between Jim and my carport I may have all the parts I need... shoot, I should go out and find my parts right now... I think I have a fuel pump out there! I have the experience w the cps: if there is an oil leak from the valve cover, dripping on the cps connector, unplug it, it is on the passenger side of the valve cover (2wires), clean, reconnect, it can restart, but may fail after 5 or 500 miles.
