At this price I am flying in...... which airport.... knock, knock.... :-) If it is rust free, a great deal. If anybody wants them, I can send directly, or to John to post. I put in BJ's 6 inch springs two years ago. I don't recall having much problem with the shackles. I think I took the shackles out of the frame mounts. Then, I installed the shackles on the spring, the installed the assembly. Sorry, but I am not 100% sure. I think it took two people to wrestle it that way though.... New springs were tough to 'stretch' into position. Pry bars and choice words were involved. I had trouble with the FRT mount on the driver's rear spring. The 'nut' on the frame spun free. Had to drop the fuel tank. Wound up searching for a replacement useable fuel tank mount/ skid plate. (BJ's has new ones now; didnt' back then.) Completely reconditioned it and sealed it with POR15, plus added a brace to the frame rail in the same location. (I think I used a piece of very large angle iron..) - -- - -Troy Troy Phagan C.R.P. 4x4 & Auto Accessories 2102 9th ST Greeley, CO 80631 970-351-8603 fax: 970-353-3066 tsp-at-crptruck.com www.crptruck.com www.smilingcharleys.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 9 Nov 2009 23:38:52 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: Re: Fwd: Another average hamshack I'm not a ham, but I love this setup... :) http://www.qrz.com/db/w9evt nice and clean, well organized, bright... :) ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Tue, 10 Nov 2009, dzashby-at-comcast.net wrote: # John, # I not only recognize some of this equipment, I used some of these that my father had when I was a child; the hallicrafters radios (SX-99) and speaker.
