(first off, all the sheet metal completely painted, but not assembled) i'm working on the cab now. all interior metal is lined with sound deadener / heat shield. i've dyed the head liner & visors and fabbed a rear bulk head that is carpet lined. seat belts are in and seat brackets are mocked up. the doors are completely finished complete with custom remote keyless entry (no visible buttons or switches), power windows, and upgraded component speakers, as well as the door skins and arm rests dyed to match the head liner and seats. that's about it. sidebar: no one anywhere makes a replacement window slide for the leading edge of the front FSJ door glass (the rear of the vent window frame assy). i got all new seals for everything except for that. i couldn't leave well enough alone, so i searched for a manufacturer who made the raw material channel. then, i used the old pieces as a template, and fabbed new ones for myself. they turned out so well, that i contacted Ryan over at BJ's OffRoad and struck a deal with him to be my distributor. i've since shipped out to him my first delivery, and he should have them for sale from his web site very soon! continuing on... there's absolutely nothing on the firewall. i have to build everything there including custom sound, A/C retrofit, cruise, and all the goodies (while still trying to keep the classic period look). completely new wiring harness along with after market gauges, and other stuffs there, too. at that point, i'll have to assemble the front clip and engine harness, lights, cooling system, and.... well, everything up there except for the motor itself. the drivetrain has been rebuilt for about 3 years now. : ) at the rate i'm going now, i'd say in about 2 years i might be on the road :-D Neal A.
