I could have the WJ back on the road within a few days from the sounds of it... How much of the front end do I need to take off to drop a 4.0 into a WJ??? Guess I'll take the hood off... pull the radiator... any other suggestions? Thanx Kevin, that info makes it easier... I doubt they changed the mounts between those two models and years. 2000 WJ vs. 2004 TJ... all the sensors and such are in the same place. I'll pull the remains of the deceased 4.0 out, that'll give me an idea of what I'll need. I guess I'll get my shop crane from my friend Dave at lunch on Thursday, if that works for him... Mark pointed out that the hood on this WJ is better than ours... seems something fell out of the rafters in the monster carport a while back... ;) Paul emailed, he's out... Christmas is coming and he's got three kids... So my plan is to get this WJ reassembled and running and sold ASAP... will need the money to cover SuperDawg's paint job and all the costs of acquiring these projects. Today is Monday, right? no... Tuesday... ok... tomorrow tires on the XJ... top off the 300D, Thursday get the shop crane and cash, start prepping the block for removal... Friday, yard out the old engine... Saturday take delivery and drop in the hole. It's not impossible to think I could have it back on the road late Saturday, or after church on Sunday... :) john Kevin wrote: > Either check block castings or do some measurements.
