Does anyone have any suggestions on what shocks to use? The other things is when I turn on my headlights the clock dims down to the point that you can just see it. Any suggestions on what it could be. Any help would be appreciated. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 05 Sep 1999 12:57:28 -0700 From: john Subject: Re: fsj: shocks and electrical Old Man Emu shocks are nice. So are Rancho 9000s So are a wide variety of brands... :) I've had good luck with OMEs and Ranchos. A friend just bought Edelbrocks for his XJ and was amazed. I'm cleaning my shop up... Have someone interested in the 77 wag and I'm gonna load it with spare parts... If he backs out I'll post a price for the wag with everything I can fit in or tie to the roof.... spare doors, glass, engine parts, leather seats, the whole sheebang... I should have the motor running well enough to drive it away even... I'll wait for the interested party to back out before I set a firm price, but looking at around $1,700 to drive away with two interiors (the leather interior out of the 84 GW, two dashes, two extra sets of wagoneer glass, extra stuff that you just can't get easily... :) (I'll hate myself for this later I'm sure... :) I'm gonna find a pallet right now and start parting with stuff... local folks I'll make ya a screamin' deal on stuff I have laying around. I've had it with the clutter and mess... Come on down. :) I ain't shipping stuff anywhere, it's not worth the hassle... I've got lots of parts that I don't need, I'm gonna let this stuff go for what I paid for it, or if I bartered into it for little or nothing... limited time offer, sanity, or insanity???, returns after the weekend... I'm up in Clearview, just south of Snohomish, I'm in the phone book... I'm out wrenching on the 77 right now... Want to sell everythign I can quickly so I can get that 80 J10 Honcho I've got my eye on... :) Getting real close... I've sold two of my computer systems, just need to get rid of some of these jeep parts and I'm ready to go... :) yeehaw! bring cash... or the checkbook... :) john - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com http://www.wagoneers.com ...don't leave life without Jesus, please! Complete wiring harness from an 88 Xj. Was gonna use it for an engine conversion, was gonna put a 4.0L into an FSJ... but I'm selling off the 4.0L, AW and NP231... john - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com http://www.wagoneers.com ...don't leave life without Jesus, please! Tom, I'm curious how your Chero is doing with squirters. :) I'm getting close to getting an 80 J10 Honcho. It has the 360-2v, tf727 and NP208... It's a fresh engine so if I do anything it'll probably be the Projection (or equivalent) setup like Ray in MI did. (it has the Jacobs ignition setup right now, the guy is getting around 12mpg... :( The idea of an MPI 258 or even a 4.0L sounds pretty good. But not for a while... motor only has 15K on it! Of course I'd love to drop a 6.5L TD in the thing, but not sure if I could make it happen with the emizzinazis, might be able to... I have an owner's manual from 81 that talks about the Diesel, so there is a chance I could show they made 'em that way. :) Either that or I'll recycle a pre-68 J truck and set it up as a Diesel... someday... someday... :) john - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com http://www.wagoneers.com ...don't leave life without Jesus, please! I wonder how hard a 23 spline shaft will be to get for the AW4 so I can hook up a 229? I've been checking out auxilliary trannies. Gear Vendors has: 3D0210 {for Dodge NP 208 Transfer Case with Fixed Yoke Replaces 4 1/8" tail housing.Light duty pickups and vans with aluminum case and fixed yoke.
