My wife is glad I'm home... She's having trouble breathing again... as soon as she saw me she started crying... I had no idea from her phone calls i= t was this bad... =20 I made it home on a wing and a prayer... Made it to Medford about the same way... lights almost gone... seatbelt light came on...=20 I blew the second alternator just north of Vancouver... made it to the top of Clearview hill with barely any lights... the seatbelt light and buzzer were dimly glowing/buzzing... rolled it into the carport and threw it on the battery charger... I'm glad the Honcho had auxillary tanks... I made it across Oregon on one "load", and home on another... fil= led up in Sacramento, topped off in Weed and Medford, filled in Portland ... an= d I've got a little over than 1/4 in both tanks... Made the run from Portlan= d in about 2.5 hrs... The Honcho needs a better fuel system... sure doesn= 't have a lot of power at 70mph... only taching about 3,200 rpm too... that wi= mpy little 2 barrel is all crapped up with that California "gas". :) Thanx for the help in getting home Wes! There is something definetly wrong in the wiring... James is thinking amp gauge... but I'm convinced the prob= lem is the rats nest under the hood... I jack the truck up so it's wheels are just barely off the ground, and using a piece of flat ground tire chalk (like a carpenter's pencil point), and using a couple 4"x8" bricks, I spin the tire and mark it close to center (leaning on the bricks to hold the chalk steady against the tire). Then I use the bricks for height while measuring the tire, to check toe in, with the wheels straight, front and back. Front should be about 1/8 to1/4" less than the back (or more, depending on how much slop there is in your steering. Also more toe-in means shorter turning circle, and Elmo turns round in 2 lanes!) I have always used a steel tape and never had any problems!
