While I'm at it I thought I'd put new u-joint bolts in the front output yoke. To get them out I'll have to take the yoke off - that's why I didn't do it last time. Do I need to replace the output seal or something when I do this? Seems like I read somewhere that there is a seal that will leak if it's not replaced before the yoke nut is re-torqued. Now I can't find whatever it was I read it in. I had my t-case overhauled last year and it doesn't leak so I really don't want to jeopardize that. Ben Williams '71 Wagoneer '78 F-250 4x4 PS - would grade 5 bolts be appropriate for the u-joint yoke? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Mar 2000 23:33:08 -0600 From: "R.J. The rears were beefed slightly to make up for the aux tank in the spare tire cradle. Unless both tanks are full, my Wag rides rougher than my 3/4 ton pickup. (with just Mark and John there'll be 1 xj and 2 FSJ's... ;) Paul, are you bringing the axle? We can swap that puppy out so you can get your old axle reassembled. Jim, are you gonna make it? Having Elmo here will help with the manifold/carb setup. I'll try to start it Saturday so all that'll be left will be dialing it in. Not sure what the weather will be like... doesn't matter really. :) April 15th I'll be down in Orlando, planning on meeting up with at least 3 Jeeper type friends...
