I am not looking to put a bunch of amplifiers and subwoofers in the Waggy. IMHO that is just wrong. If I did that I might as well go ahead and put 24JJ wheels, spinners (or wagon wheels), and pancake tires on it too along with a sparkled neon green paint job with the Hawaiian Punch guy on the hood. (We see that sort of nonsense all the time here in sunny Shreveport, LA.) All I want is something that has COM/NAV/WX/XM similar to what I would see in an airplane (don't need the VHF radios or the VOR/DME/ADF though). A system similar to what I have in my 2008 JK would be great. That one has dual zones so the kids in the backseat can watch whatever kid movies they want (over wireless headphones) and the wife and I can listen to the regular or XM radio up front. I have recently seen systems that integrate NAV, XM traffic, and XM weather on one screen. The NAV/maps are apparently produced by Garmin which is a very good thing IMO. The only drawback to these systems that I can see is that they all seem to require separate hardware for all the functionality unlike the MyGIG in my JK that integrates everything into one box. What kind of special duct to the alternator are you talking about? Do you mean maybe a cold air duct of some sort to direct cooling air to the alternator?
