From mdill@lsil.com Mon Mar 5 10:13:24 2001 From: Mike Dillon John It depends on what it is , For 10-SI 100 series 63 Amp alts that are common in our rigs stock 0 amps @ ~1200 rpm (Alt rpm) 23 @ 1600 60 @ 5000 The 72 amp 10-SI 0 @ 1600 30 @ 2000 70 @ 6000 Now for common GM 100 + amp models the CS-130 or CS-144 (personally I am going to the CS-144) for a CS-130 105 Amp 0 @ ~1100 50 @ 1600 100 @ 4000 for the CS-144 140 amp 0 @ ~1100 70 @ 1600 120 @ 3000 140 @ 6000 The CS series is much better at idle than the higher output SI unit, but all bets are off with "Joes" custom high output alternator emporium units, as I have yet to see any of them publish specs other than stating the max output at some unknown RPM. All specs are from the AC-Delco electrical spec manual Mike D. > Message: 6 > Date: Sat, 03 Mar 2001 10:52:22 -0800 > From: john > Subject: 150 amp alternator > > >From: Bob Mock > >Subject: Re: xj: alternator upgrade > > http://www.mralternator.com. a 150 amp alt for bout $150.
