Subject: Help save the life of an FSJ

Been happening in the spring for a couple of years now. Time for the annual state safety inspection which means time to spend some $'s and time getting the GW ready to breeze thru the annual rites of spring. For the past couple of years my lovely wife has been lobbying to (perish the thought) retire the Wagoneer. She drives the truck on a daily basis carting the 3 kids around to (fill in the activity). I'd drive the truck to work were it not for my 80 mi RT commute. Even though the gas gauge has read full for the past 2+ years the fuel supply does have to be periodically replenished. She thinks the truck is costing too much to run and is not reliable anymore - HA. Anyway, I could use some help lobbying her. If your significant other supports you in your efforts to keep one of these classic driving machines on (and off) the road, have her drop a line to my wife by way of my email. A suggested template: Please don't retire the truck. Without it to work on and play with Phil, like my husband, would likely spend his time ___ watching sports on TV drinking with his buddies hanging out at the 'dancing' clubs other and would likely spend his money on _______ sports bets beer tipping exotic dancers controlled substances other Looks like I'm on the hook to buy another car soon and move the Wag to the recreational vehicle category. On the maintenance front, had a lot of frame welding/patching done last week. Can recommend a one man shop in southern NH if req'ed, this guy is a real craftsman. Exhaust work done on Tues and I replaced a busted parking brake cable last night. Ready to go get a sticker. I'm not afraid of your stiiinking state safety inspection! Phil Horton '88 Grand Wagoneer but the gas gauge says it's full????
