NOTE: to create this list I extracted only the SESSION heading info from the page that provides the one-hour info.
        viewed page: One-Hour-Linux-Sessions-2017.html
copied the text from the browser into a file called sessionlist.txt
        cat sessionlist.txt | grep -i Session > sessions
vi sessions # removed any line that wasn't the heading and number as shown below
        nl sessions > nl-sessions
        sort -r nl-sessions > sessions.txt
        vi sessions.txt # added some html, <esc>:r README.html # saved as:
        <esc>:w sessions-list-2017.html # saved as

and here we are... 112 lessons... each at least 1 hour, most 1.5 hours... all started from what became 2 or 3 books.
    and a video series: http://johnmeister.com/linux/Intro-to-Linux/The_Art_of_Linux_System_Administration.html
the basic Overview of Linux was created after teaching LPIC-1.

Almost everyone of the scripts shared are ones I've used to do a job, either at work or at home. Some from UNIX. All work.
Scripts are excellent tools to teach the basics. I also find them helpful to record commands and syntax as well as process.
