However, she thinks like her mother, she's laid claim to the little wagoneer... :) Ray, you're not familiar with the 300D are you? :) A 240D is very slow, a 300D is just kinda slow, but not much slower than an FSJ with tall gears and big tires. :) And at freeway speeds I'd say they're pretty close. Now, if I could just get a turbo for Fritz... :) I did find out about a used FSJ in the Midwest... I've also located a Turbo Diesel XJ way back east, but Fritz would have to be sold to cover the cost, it has a new engine and tranny... not cheap... later, john - ---------------------------------------------- john-at-virtual-cafe.com Jesus - don't leave life without him... http://www.virtual-cafe.com/~john/saved.html http://www.virtual-cafe.com/~john --------------------------------------------------- Mercedes Benz Diesels, FullSizeJeeps and xj's... found on http://www.digest.net and http://www.wagoneers.com - ---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Dec 1998 23:57:13 -0800 From: john Subject: European style headlights Anybody have the European Style headlights for a 123 body style? I'm thinking about doing a headlight replacement with IPF lamps like I did on my little wagoneer. Either that or Hella's. But I just ran across some Euro style headlight covers and forgot about that option. Anyone have a set they might be willing to sell? If the price is too steep I may just sell the covers off. I may be running across an extra shop manual as well. john - ---------------------------------------------- john-at-virtual-cafe.com Jesus - don't leave life without him... http://www.virtual-cafe.com/~john/saved.html http://www.virtual-cafe.com/~john --------------------------------------------------- Mercedes Benz Diesels, FullSizeJeeps and xj's... found on http://www.digest.net and http://www.wagoneers.com - ---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #52 ********************************
