Okay, here's the latest... dropped it off at 1:00 today, told them that not only had they neglected to tighten the nut where injector pipe #2 meets the injector pump, but that suddenly #4 was leaking. He called me on the cellphone later in the day to tell me that after he'd tightened everything up, it was fine... I told him to wait a while until the block was cold, and try again...he'd hear one hell of a piston knock and get a cloud of bluish-white (more white than blue) smoke... Coming off the highway yesterday, it wouldn't even stay lit for me... died at the end of the exit ramp. It's acting like it's firing on three (or fewer!) cylinders... He said he'd do a compression test.... i didn't get back there before they closed today, so I'm biting my nails until i can reach him tomorrow....how scary is this? Any ideas? - -- mjm (240D) On Sun, 7 Feb 1999, john wrote: > definetly sounds like a bad injector, at least from my experiences... > john > > At 12:34 AM 2/8/99 -0600, M.
