I looked in the 124 catalog but it didn't have a steering box... :( Looking at JC Whitney I can tell it ain't gonna be cheap... well over $200... john ============================================================= The just shall live by Faith... (are you sitting down?) 81 300D $1,340 82 300SD $1,400 I might be able to sell 'em for a little bit less... there ain't much room on these parts. In talking to my parts guy he suggested that it might be something in the suspension, ESPECIALLY on your 300SD. He said he doesn't see these boxes go out very often... I just did the track bar on the jeep... got to do the brakes and some electrical stuff... it's getting windy and will soon be raining here... (we had a sun break today!!!) In order to check the suspension you'll have to raise the front end off the ground... I tested thelittle wagoneer... major loose stuff, gonna try and get the front end aligned later this week... we'll see what the aligner dude says ... :) john - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-virtual-cafe.com http://www.wagoneers.com http://www.virtual-cafe.com/~john http://www.wagoneers.com/book-info.html jesus, don't leave life without him, please! The steering box can be adjusted. I believe "counter-clockwise" on the allen screw will tighten it. Don't tighten it more than +/- 1/4" play at the steering wheel, else you bind up the box. Remember, it's not a rack and pinion setup. Other cheap item that will change your loose steering perception: Steering damper -at-$20.00.
