I think I'm gonna call him and leave a message... you know that "toll free" calls cost the owner about 80 cents a call... :) john ************************************************************** Pursuant to US Code, Title 47, Chapter 5, Subchapter II, =A7227, any and all unsolicited commercial E-mail sent to this address is subject to a download and archival fee in the amount of $500 US. I'll call from work on Monday after checking a map. I'll be flying into reno Sat mar 13 then driving over to the bay area on the 14th, will be there until the 19th... after listening to david though I think it's something else... still working on the little wagoneer, finally got the locks and windows working properly... had to replace a major front end part today (the track bar..) I noticed LOTS of loose stuff under it. Sheesh, my wife is gonna flip if I have to rebuild the front end of both rigs... However, with both rigs paid off it's still cheaper to fix 'em then make payments. :) Hey, one of the guys on the FSJ list GAVE me a 74 WAgoneer... it's broken of course, and it's over in Lewiston, ID! I was about to pass on it when an FSJ friend in Portland offered to use his Full Size rig to drag it here! Awesome stuff. The FSJ list was the first one I started on the internet back in 1995. I've met about 20 of the guys all across the country, had FSJ fests here in Snohomish... :) Maybe we ought to start having Diesel Benz gatherings... rofl... problem is I don't think we're as densly packed... The first list I started is over 500 now, and the one on this server is only at about 80 guys... I think this list is around 50 or so... I'll have to check later... (you guys can check... email majordomo-at-digest.net, then type: who diesel-benz who diesel-benz-digest end you'll get a list of who's on the list. FWIW, ONLY members of the list can get that info. I blocked the list to list members only. The xj list was getting spammed heavy. In fact, tonight alone it's had two spammers bounced off... when they bounce I get a message and I forward it to their isp... I've probably gotten a half dozen spammers kicked off the internet in the last few months... when will these guys get the message? john At 11:48 PM 2/20/99 -0500, Christopher M. Klass wrote: >WOW! Looking for Win3.x WIN.COM My apologies up front for posting this wildly off-topic message, but I thought this might actually work. I'm setting up a software test lab, and among the testing platforms is the early version of Windows 95. From my Windows NT Server 4.0 CD, I have the upgrade to this version of Windows 95, but I believe it wants to see a Windows 3.x version of the file WIN.COM on the hard drive. This is simply a testing lab, so our licensing issues are covered. We're just having a hard time finding a complete install of an early Win 95. If anyone on these lists has access to an appropriate file, or if you know the Windows 95 upgrade installation is looking for some other file, I would greatly appreciate if you could email me privately at my office at acordova-at-acuity.com . It's just another way that these lists make our lives better. ;-) Thanks for any available help, Alec Cordova Taylor, Texas 85 300DT, >185K 97 BMW Z3 1.9, 51K, both with _no traces_ of MS Windows on board! ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #97 ********************************
