My grandfather installed them when my grandmother was still driving the car. He was a cheif engineer on tuna boats in the south pacific, and he ahd used scaled up versions for the high horsepower engines in the boats. I've got one for the oil and the fuel. Don't ask me where to get them, I have no idea. Dan kc7nol-at-juno.com On Sun, 16 May 1999 16:07:42 -0400 "Matthew J. Mason" writes: > >Dan -- how are the TP elements set up? I'll look into the possibility of a website (though not likely, if they're 20 yrs. old), and let the list know. -- mjm ______________________________________________ On Mon, 17 May 1999, Daniel A Jacobs wrote: > I forgot to mention that all the parts used are thick stainless steel, > and high quality rubber gaskets and o rings. Obviously there are not many of you who know about these engines.. Yesterday, I finally tried out a 190D with AMG kit and spoiler etc. It looked quite swish in Silver and grey. The interior was quite tidy the best part was the MB seats which give fantastic support for the lower back. Does the diesel car normally have a little vibration for all the passengers in the car? There was a slight vibration which is not noticeable in a petrol car. The claimed reading of mileage is 43,000 kms which is low for such an old car. The engine bay looked clean and tidy too. Can anyone tell me what to look out for to tell if the car is up to the mark. It rode well and felt good as a car but I am not keen to run out and spend money on a car that I am going to spend a great deal of time and money fixing. Any help and tips will be most welcome. Thanks for your help. Hari ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #140 *********************************
