Eeeep... sounds painful.... ;) John, on a list comprised mostly of males with decent senses of humor, I feel comfortable advising you that you'd need a cervix before you'd need a "cervical collar." :) (I think you were shooting for "clavicle," but then again, I'm no doctor...) ;) - -- Matt ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Mar 2000 21:10:42 -0800 From: john Subject: Re: what to do... imminent rear-end collision my anatomy is not incorrect. Your clavicle ain't the part that gets tweaked... :) It's the upper part of the spine that attaches to your head is referred to as such that is... ;) check with your doctor or chiropractor... cervical spine, thorasic, and lumbar. typically referred to by their number, like c3, or T6, or L5... L5 is the 5th lumbar, and if you have one out of whack, you'll have problems with sciatica... been there done that and met the nicest chiropractors... I also ditched the cane after visiting one. I still have my VA disabled vet card though... ;) I had this discussion once on the FSJ list... with a guy that referred to himself as "doc"... ;) john At 09:32 PM 3/7/00 -0600, matthew j mason wrote: > > >> a reasonable time... sure beat wearing a silly cervical collar too.) > > >Eeeep... sounds painful.... ;) > >John, on a list comprised mostly of males with decent senses of humor, I >feel comfortable advising you that you'd need a cervix before you'd need a >"cervical collar." :) > >(I think you were shooting for "clavicle," but then again, I'm no >doctor...) ;) > >-- Matt > - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com http://www.wagoneers.com ...don't leave life without Jesus, please! The best bet is to get the heck out of the way if you can. With traffic so heavy, it's not always an option... and then anyone you run into trying to get away will be your responsibility in some locales! My daughter just got rearended a few weeks ago... not much damage to the car, but she's been going to the chiropractor regularly... doing much better. Too bad she was in an american car, the seats are pathetic. I miss Fritz's seats... I'd hate to think of what would happen if I got rear ended in my J10 with no headrests... ouch.... (that's what prompted me to ask my buddy... hopefully I'll have time to slouch down, and relax...) john - ----------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com http://www.wagoneers.com ...don't leave life without Jesus, please! Car has run beautiful past 6 months, not to mention all day. All of a sudden, car doesnt seem to want to shift into first. I step on the gas, the engine revs, but it tries not to get into 1st. Doesnt want to idel. If i floor it, it can redline. If i sort of pump the gas, itll fight its way through 1st, from 2nd and on its fine. For some reason though it just revs as almost as if its in neutral, coming from a stop? Whats this? ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #287 *********************************
