I wonder if I shouldn't list it on ebay?! That would pay for my paint job, new tires, new springs and maybe even a new engine/trans in my '83 Stepside... :) I could also buy another 3.0L TD! :) Maybe I could find a nice '85 300CD... 41 people bid on this car... what's the deal? I saw another 300SD on ebay that didn't get any bids, it had 180,000 miles, was very nice and listed at around $4k... oh well... john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- john-at-wagoneers.com **** http://wagoneers.com don't leave life without Jesus, please... The northern lights were running and visible from Snohomish last night, October 4, 2000 between 11:15 pm and 12:30am. Sorry to get word out so late... they do tend to be visible for a few days at a time... I got three marginal pictures, will post to http://www.wagoneers.com/FOTOS/NorthernLights/ scanning 2 pictures right now... Picked up some 800 ASA Kodak and heading out again tonight... it looks promising, clear, and cool... I'll post the pix tomorrow night if any... unfortunately the digital is out of it's realm... it's CONTAX time. :) I'm not sure how far they are visible elsewhere in North America. They were visible quite a ways south. They were due east of me and appeared over Monroe and extended north toward the Mt. Baker area. They were mostly green last night, not multi-colored like previous sightings. I may head down to the valley with my J10 and tripod and shoot from down there... it's gonna be cold out there... :) I'll have to find my other picture from a few years ago and post it in that directory as well. enjoy, john - ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ "The truth which makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear." ---Herbert Sebastian Agar Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 05 Oct 2000 20:22:05 -0700 From: john Subject: john's new cherokee chief The security guard at work had an old Cherokee Chief, knew I liked Jeeps, so he gave it to me... I figure it's been fun, and nothing has broken, I've fixed a couple things that weren't right, added value... now is a good time to sell it. :) Then next Benz will be the 300CD. Drove along side one today... :) I saw the ebay auction hit over $8k for an 83 300sd, lower mileage, ... so I may list it on ebay. I canceled the yahoo auction for right now... (the 77 Wagoneer is doing well on yahoo, up to $510, just concerned whether it'll really sell when done, at least ebay the probability is better. :) later, john - ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ "The truth which makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear." ---Herbert Sebastian Agar Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #408 *********************************
