Can you pump it up then? If it sinks that's a bad sign. The Power Booster itself probably wouldn't fail like this... but I'm not thoroughly familiar with the Mercedes... so it remains a suspect until others with more experience condemn it with certainty. sound like a weak vacuum system... (I almost want to run out and look at my Benz to make sure they use vacuum to boost the brakes, my GM Diesels used a HydroBoost setup instead of vacuum...:) Hope this helps... and I hope someone with more knowledge on these things pipes up... I'm finding I'm not a very good Mercedes mechanic... I've spent way too much money trying to fix what seemed like simple parts problems... I get a clogged filter setup and I replace the injectors... My tach dies and I replace all the electronics under the hood to still not have it work... I think I'm proving myself unqualified to wrench on Mercedes... :) I'm gonna stick with Jeeps... ;) john - ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Feb 2001 00:49:07 -0500 From: Dan Jacobs Subject: RE: fuel costs Diesel at the Astro station down the street is $1.61 last I noticed, it may have gone down a little the past few days, and it was $1.23 -at- Jubitz truck stop B4 fuel taxes. Another benefit to the cardlock fuel sites are you usually get a location booklet to keep in your glove box (less time wondering if the station you see in the distance even has diesel) and 24HR (albeit completely self serve) fueling. Price per kilowatt hour from Clark County PUD is currently $.0573, since our last increase at the begining of the year. Don't everybody move here at once! But if you do, please contact my wife. If you are driving through an affluent suburb, where the only diesel sold is to richy rich siesel benz owners, then it is 1.75, much more than petrol. If you are driving down some of the grungy, truck route commercial areas, it can get as low as 1.35. This weekend I was plotting to have a 400 litre internal tank fitted so that when I found cheap diesel I could capitalize. A friend of mine in the UK has a 500 litre one, soem times to fill up he drives to Libya (no joke).
