The oil is compatibale with the r12 oil, that was the problem initially with 134 conversions. list mom: any volunteers? I had one avaible so I was able to get all the moisture out of the system with it. My system was not working when I got the car so I have nothing to compare it to in telling you how well it works other than I drive to Redding, CA often where it is often well over 100f and the AC seemed to be helping but was never cold. jay miller wrote: > > Hello, all: > Is it possible to upgrade the air conditioning system to use R134a instead > of Freon on the 81-84 300D or 240D. The spam problem could most likely be from one of these two reasons: 1) You are using an insecure web browser application. I use a program called Opera 5. My spam has gone down very considerably since using this program for browsing the web. The application does not ask you to register the software before it will run, therefore, there is no information to give to websites that gather e-mail addresses for spam. Browsers like MS Internet Explorer and Netscape freely give your personal information to websites that ask for it. One way to avoid these problems is to use false and misleading information when filling out any personal info when registering or giving information to an application when it asks for personal info. 2) There may be someone using this list or using the digests to record e-mail addresses To everyone, please don't clog up the list giving me a hard time for accusing you of doing this. I am not accusing anyone. It could be someone using the digests on John website for all we know. When you get spam, just delete it. It is the electronic version of junk mail, and the only reason you get junk mail is because someone knows your there to receive it. Deletion is a very pwerful tool in the electronic age. I use Pacific Pride at Jubitz, a large truckstop in north Portland, OR. The fuel there is always very good, because they have thousands of trucks a day that get fuel there, and it never sits in the ground long enough to collect water and gunk. Also, because of the volume of fuel they sell, it is about ten cents/gallon cheaper there. The only problem with card lock is the pump will shut off automatically if no fuel is pumped for 30 seconds or so. This is done so someone can't come along right after it has finished pumping and use it before you've hung the nozzle up. Most fueling sites are easy to find, and Pacific Pride has a well made booklet of locations, including maps, with what facilities are at a location, hours (most are 24 hrs, 7 days a week), and other usefull info. There are pacific pride locations in some towns where the gas station on the corner doesn't have diesel, or may only be open until 9 pm, and you come through at 9:15. I have no complaints, but then again, I am a BIG truck driver, and I am used to pumping 220 gallons at a time "with my own bare hands!" Still running after key removed This happened on my 1982 300d a few months back. You have a vacume leak in the door/engine system that believe it or not is preventing the car from turning off. Try this: turn the key off so the engine runs then find the vacume lines behind the firewall and pull them apart until the engine stops. The car will stop now but the auto door locks won't work anymore. I was never able to find the actual leak causing the problem. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: HELP! Still running after key removed Never been in it, so I can't give you good instructions, but I believe there is some kind of connection at the ignition switch that triggers the necessary vacuum to shut down the fuel injection pump. Since you just replaced your ignition cylinder, this would be a strong suspect. If this is the case, as opposed to a newly formed vacuum leak in the door locks or some other system, your car will continue to behave this way until you dig back into your ignition switch. Sorry.
