The MB Diesels are pretty well optimized. A good air fliter (I recommend AMSOIL of course), clean oil, preferabbly AMSOIL Synthetic, of course, a good timeing chain and proper valve adjustments, clean injectors, carry little weight, inflate your tires to the max and learning how to drive with the hammer down... :) You might also want to ask the guys on the DieselBenz list on digest.net for advice... :) Thinking about the Propane thing..
