I would look at the used market in the classifieds or buy and sell. I found a very nice fiberglass canopy for my '85 6.9 DIESEL (topic content added) F-350 crew-cab that way. fit perfectly, around $200- and only about 2 mi. from home. 4-500 seems way too much for that toolbox! >X-Sender: john-at-wagoneers.com >X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Version 5.1 >Date: Sat, 15 Jun 2002 22:54:58 -0700 >To: (Recipient list suppressed) >From: john >Subject: tool box... >Sender: owner-diesel-benz-at-digest.net > >this may be a little bit off topic, but google isn't being >much help in finding what I'm looking for... ;) > >I'm looking for a double lid saddle box that will fit my >Jeep J10 stepside bed. I have a '84 300D that is just pasted the breaking in period. (220K miles) I need a recommendation for a good mechanic near Monroe, Washington. Thanks, Scott ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Jun 2002 16:12:24 -0700 From: john Subject: update... just a quick update... thanx to all who offered help with the sony vaio xp ordeal... I've given up on xp and have w2k pro loaded, so far so good. the only thing I'm missing is a version of intervideo windvd (3.1) for w2k, I've got the one for xp... anyone able to help with some sort of dvd reader/player? so far w2k has been up and running for almost 24hrs without so much as a blip... I setup mozilla, downloaded netscape 7.0, and have been doing all the normal stuff on this that didn't seem to work on XP... SUPERDAWG update: http://wagoneers.com/tmp/SuperDawg the motor is in the chassis for fit. turns out the aw4 is 5" longer then the t-5, the adapter we're building is almost 2" longer and the np219 is another 2 or so inches longer then the np208... meaning about 8" worth of driveshaft mods are needed. This will work out good as the weight is moved further back in the chassis... :) still trying to decide what to do with the bed, looking for a two lid crossover toolbox that will fit within the 48" bed, ford/chev stepsides have a model available that's 46" that will work... but they're spendy new... so I'm looking around... either that or I may go with a canopy... not sure which way to go... thanx again for the help with the computer... I can live without the DVD player... :) it's nice to have a stable system again... john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of diesel-benz-digest V1 #779 *********************************
