We all know our beloved older diesel Benzes are getting a little fewer and further between for the good ones, and we all ought to do our part to help the remaining ones go to good homes. I also may end up recruiting this kind of help in a couple years when I finally let go of my 89 300CE and return to the wonderful world of diesels with an early 80's 300CD or 300SD, so I definitely want to try to get us all into the habit. ;-) What might we be reviewing for you this round, Mike? I never liked the black leather seats, I want tan or light gray... ;) john At 08:21 PM 2/18/2003 -0600, Alec Cordova wrote: > > I hate to keep doing this, but it doesn't seem like the car in British > > Columbia is going to work out. Let's see...just to review. The car in BC was a 300CD with a BRAND NEW engine. The car was abandoned at the engine rebuilder because the owner ran short of cash. Title is WA, so no import problems. The only hitch is that after several phone calls, I still have no pictures, and no agreement that someone can go up and take a look. It may still work out, but at this point, it's got to go on the back burner. The fact that it's taken them so long to punch out a few digital photos via e-mail makes me nervous. I need a car, and I can't wait forever. The new possibility is a 300SD, original CA car, low mileage. I was hoping for something smaller, but low mile cars are few and far between. I also have a line on a 300GD in Canada, but I can't figure out how to import it :-(.
