My brake lights work so it can't be that. Could this be a connection to the cruise control (which I don't have either)? I notice Rusty lists master cylinders with and without this sensor, are they the same except for the sensor? I have no idea what the sensor might be for, though. Rusty's parts site show a sensored and sensorless version of this master cylinder, I'm just not sure what the sensor is for. Could something not be hooked up? I thought I checked the fluid level, but I actually just looked through the plastic reservoir and didn't take the lid off. My brake light in the dash had been on for a while, and I thought it was malfunctioning. Turns out, when I went to take off the master cylinder, it was completely empty! I decided to try just filling it up, and when I did, not only did my brakes work again, but the light went off in the dash. I believe the sensor turns on the idiot light when the fluid is low. This is a good thing. Now, I monitor the light and know that it acutally means something important....Maybe this isn't the same sensor you're talking about??? I didn't actually swap anything...just filled it up. Yes, I can be an idiot....
