My SD's seat leans too. Broken spring. Its easily fixed Ill list the ways I know - -rewelding the broken seat spring good fix but you have to take the seat out - -stuffing the seat with a blanket not so great but you dont have to remove the seat completely - -new seat best one but its hard to find a seat at a reasonable price. Found two broken springs under the driver side cushion. Solved my problem, now pretty comfortable. I have power seats, my switch out took about 4 hours (had several interruptions, not that handy with tools). Hmmm, John put them on his server for me and posted the URL for the Sprinter photos I took today at the same time. I took some photos of my sunroof for John to aid in his repairs on his 190's roof and added in some overall shots so he could see the car he was looking at the closeups of. My SD is very much not for sale :) Although if you like Honda Accords (ok ok ill stop there ) R. Maybe you guys are better weldors than I am? I fixed a VW seat by getting a donor seat that was not quite right, taking it apart, and getting a replacement spring out of it. - Jerry Kaidor ( jerry-at-tr2.com ) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2003 16:31:53 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: Re: pix, 300SD too... I am a native Atlanta'n, grew up in Smyrna, lived in Tucker before moving to Nebraska. My 300SDL has handled the move better than I have with the shortage of MB dealers here. I have to drive 150 miles to the nearest dealer for stuff I can't handle. I still buy most of my parts from Bud's Benz in Douglasville. If you haven't checked 'em out, go to this link and look at the Garage Sale. http://www.budsbenz.com/content/contentct.asp?p=38 They have some good stuff for our older cars. I can contribute something to this discussion... Late last November, on ebay, I bought an '89 Dodge one ton dually with a Cummins engine. I flew out to Colorado Springs on Continental Puddle Jumper for $134 and drove it home. The truck itself is an exquisite piece of junk. But the engine is a sublime work of art.
