I can't imagine many local shops rebuild them in-house anymore. Locally, the shop rates are in the mid 80's an hour--some dealerships are even higher. It's probably just not worth the trouble and risk to rebuild them in-house. If they did cost 1200 bucks I'd try and rebuild it, but for $269 I think I'd just get a new one. If I want a challenge in rebuilding, I'll try an automatic transmission. I abandoned the in-dash rheostat though, since the radio I installed ( in my 300D ) had built-in front-to-rear balance, no need to throw away watts in a resistor. - Jerry Kaidor ( jerry-at-tr2.com ) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Apr 2003 15:26:48 -0500 From: "Black, Waylon" Subject: RE: Other Becker Radio Questions Ebay? - -----Original Message----- From: Renaud OLGIATI [mailto:renaud-at-olgiati-in-paraguay.org] Sent: Friday, April 11, 2003 12:10 PM To: Diesel Benz Subject: Other Becker Radio Questions Anyone know a good source for German radio spares, if possible with a net/web presence ?
