I do not need anything from this car and it will literally go to the crusher after sitting for about a week in the local yard. I am going to attach the note that I sent to another prospect so that you can see what condition the car is actually in. I suspect that it is as good or better than most of the cars owned by people on this list!!! MILD slippage from the tranny between 3-4 shifts. Nothing serious, just manually shift from 3 to 4 and no big deal, mine has done this for 8 years now. If you let it automatically shift, you may need a tranny by this time next year. No chance that he will take a grand. $1500.00 firm. If I do not call him back today, the car goes to a salvage yard and will be parted! It may already be too late. I would not hesitate to get in this car and drive it across the country. You will need a new battery, as I have a loaner in there right now. You can let the car sit as long as you like after the purchase, just keep in mind that someone has already broken out the left rear wing window (in the door) and taken the CD player. The longer it sits, the more pieces will be missing. He only put 10K miles on this car in the last 4 years, and could care less about mileage, so I am sure that he would have no idea. Kirk A. I'm sure the car is worth $1500. Or more. "A little steep" was a poor choice of words. What I ment was.... If I look in my left hand and it's empty and the car is going to the crusher... or I look in my right hand and I have, say $500, which way did I come out "ahead"?? Certainly someone comes away with a *steal*... but that's the nature of having to "get rid" of something ;) Someone wins and someone loses...
