But I thought I'd entertain myself anyway ;) I signed off the list at the beginning of August when I left with my family for a vacation in Florida. The vacation started out with my son and I sailing the FL Keys on an 80+ ft schooner with his Boy Scout troop. The scouts run an operation called Seabase: http://www.bsaseabase.org/ It was a fantastic time until hurricane Charley came along ;) The trip should have lasted a week but we were less than 24 hours into it when we got called back to port and the trip was cancelled! My wife and youngest daughter were to be hanging out in Key West while son and I sailed. But instead we were then instructed to evacuate the Keys and had to head north in search of a place to stay! After the sailing adventure *should* have ended, then the rest of the family would have joined us and we would have gone to Captiva Island and Disney World. If any of you followed Charley you'd know that Captiva Island was where he made first landfall! Needless to say we didn't go there either! So we hung out on the east coast of FL... Singer Island and then Coco Beach. Went to the space center and other fun stuff. Disney was back up and running by the time we were scheduled to go there so that was the only part of the trip that went *as planned* ;) So... I hope all of you have had as much fun as I have!!
