I forgot about that... so maybe a late 80's Blazer/Tahoe with a 6.2L sounds like my target... at least to look. My Jimmy is getting around 20mpg, my Benz 28-31 in town... but I'm insuring a bunch of rigs... if I could roll my Diesel passion into one multipurpose machine... Actually there were a few things done to the Targetmasters to make them good: - improved head bolts - improved head gaskets - roller lifter cam - redesigned oil gasket/pump setup - and a few other strengthening things... My original 5.7L leaked oil, and the cam went flat... He had this 83 cherokee for a while with a 258 six and automatic that he towed a 5 ton bus he cut up and made a trailer out of. The cherokee replaced an 83 eagle wagon (!).
