Lets say your honest person with a good driving record destroys your car in an accident that was their fault....... Who is liable? Different states have different laws about liability insurance and what they cover..... Shippers may do some not so great things to your car (like park it under a leaky british car) but they are insured for total loss........ My car may not have a high value but it would be quite difficult for me to replace..... I can't say I would trust anyone to drive my car anywhere...... The cost of shipping a car with an insured car moving firm becomes trivial to the complete replacment costs involved with finding and working the kinks out of another car...... Car is crap. Looks good in the pics but I saw the car at lunch. Classic example where the driveline outlasted the body. Looks like a high schools paint and body project gone bad. Engine is really clean - hoping the hard starting is GPs or valves in need of adjustment. Any advice of what to look for in the way of problems? Not to offend any VW owners - the driveline is going into a super clean 1979 2 door Omni 024(gasp!). It has a 1.7 VW gas motor. It will make a great work car as I drive about 80-100 miles a day. Call it Frankendiesel. I love the little L bodies(Omni/Charger/Rampage) but there is no way the VW 1.7 or Mopar 2.2 can match the mileage/durability of the VW diesel.
