I purchased a 1980 240D from John, of this list, last week, and am sending an update on it's progress. I just got it back from the glass company (ms glass) where I had a new windshield put in ($200 including new gasket) I changed the oil, changed the fuel filters, cleaned the interior three times over till it shines. I painted the lower section of the body to cover some rusting (it is two tone, brown with a black lower section) I sprayed PB Blaster on all the metal under the hood, and it seems to have lost alot of the corrosion build up. It pretty much is a runner at this point, I need to put a stereo in, but it drives great!
